In 2016 Amy cofounded Journey as an impact travel collective, with trips that transformed the the communities they touch and the travelers themselves. Over the next two years our team produced weeklong experiences for 600+ travelers in 9 countries. Collectively building 150+ homes for families as well as a skate park for underserved youth, renovating 5 schools, and uplifting rural collectives of female entrepreneurs.
Eyes Closed designed and co-led impact travel for The Assemblage: a community and series of co-living, coworking and events spaces in NYC. In December 2018 we took a group of 18 to Mexico to renovate a school, learn about sustainable city agriculture, and integrate the experience with traditional sound and body practices.
In 2010 Amy cofounded a pop-up music series in Brooklyn featuring some of the city’s greatest underground music projects - and others not-so-underground, from Lucius to Luke Temple to Aoife O’Donovan, Mirah and Major Lazer. Over four years the series featured 100 acts, all playing 2 songs each: a smorgasbord of music staged in living rooms, on rooftops and subway trains, bound by a community of musicians and music lovers.
